Who Am I?

Well the other day I was asked this question by my darling four year old daughter, who like her brother and well me :) is smart. She asked Mommy, who were you before you were a mommy? Little smart, yes! It took me back a minute then I started to think and this is what I came up with. I am the following:
Wife: I've been married and in this relationship for 11 years! Anyone who puts up with me and loves and supports me as much as he does deserves a metal. A big one! :) I have the most supportive husband!
Mommy: My most favorite title, the most rewarding thing I've done in my whole life :) And since my beloved son just turned 12, the most challenging title I've held. Ps. wouldn't take it back for a minute:) shh!!
Daughter: well what can I say I'm my parents only daughter and I'm sure that's no mistake. Let's just hope history doesn't repeat itself!
Sister: I've had this title when I was born, my big brother is three years older than me, then I was blessed when I was 11 1/2 to have a little brother who is so dear to me, well they both are!
Friend: I like this title, I have a few very close girlfriends who are very dear to me.

Great Place To Play In Petaluma

Finally!!! Petaluma has a CLEAN, Nice, Safe Indoor Place to Play. I've been driving by Jack & Jills Place on the corner of Kentucky and noticed that they had tutus :) Not the kind that I make so I decided to send the owner an email and she let me know that she already had someone who makes there tutus. So I finally went with a friend of Emma's from her Montesorri school. The admission is $8.00 (not bad) and Michelle has three little girls and they gave her a discount for her second two, very nice. There is so much to do. First you walk in and there is a small retail area, tees, some wands, and tutus. Not FANCY PANTS TUTUS but soon :)! Then you go through a gate, yes you can actually sit and let the toddlers play with chasing them. There are tables to sit at with WI FI for us to maybe get some work done :). They have a train table, vanity with mirror, play stage, play kitchen, baby area with dollhouse. They even have pretend store, resturant, and Vet. They also have a ARt Area with tons of paper and projects. The owner is very very nice and her little daughter is just adorable. Best of all it's very very clean. What a place to take the kids too and relax and let them play! Petaluma needed a place like this so go, go, go and help keep her in business! www.jackandjillsplace.com check it out! I give it a 10!

Give Thanks, Educate

After watching an episode of Oprah a couple of weeks ago, I got to thinking. Are our daughters going to know the women before us that paved the way for us to do the things we do? Take the picture, here women during 1942 WWII whose husbands where off fighting and had to go to work just to support their young children. Pre war it was unheard of women working outside the home. I bet if you would have one of these brave women that in 2008 there would be a women Vice President candidate they would have laughed. There were no women political figures, professional athletes. If you were lucky enough to work outside the home you were a nurse, a schoolteacher making 1/3 less than your male coworkers. It took such brave women as Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, Hellen Keller, Amelia Earhart, Rosa Lee Parks, Gloria Steinham, Billy Ray King, Sally Ride, Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi to name a few. Let's educate our daughters about the sacrifices these great women before us made. So get out and VOTE! Remember before 1920 women couldn't vote!
